Harp Neurology is a small group of highly trained Neurologists with special expertise in Migraine, Multiple Sclerosis and Epilepsy.  

 

We offer exceptional patient-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment.  Our Neurologists are active listeners who communicate with empathy and respect for every individual entrusted in their care.

 

Our consulting rooms are located in the leafy suburb of Kew East, Victoria.

Dr Ann French

MBBS FRACP

Migraine & Multiple Sclerosis Specialist

Dr Ann French is a Consultant Neurologist with special interests in Migraine and Multiple Sclerosis.

​

Ann holds a public appointment at St Vincent’s Public Hospital with senior roles in the Neuroimmunology Clinic and the Multiple Sclerosis Research Unit. She acts as co-investigator and examining neurologist for several large clinical trials in Multiple Sclerosis.

​

Ann has a special interest in Migraine management, with more than ten years experience using botulinum toxin injections for the treatment of Chronic Migraine.

​

For eligible patients, Ann is thrilled to offer the newly approved CGRP antagonist therapies for Migraine prevention.

​

Ann went to Methodist Ladies’ College in Kew where she was the Senior Prefect in 1997. Her undergraduate medical training was undertaken at Monash University where she was awarded the prestigious Sir John Monash Prize for Academic Excellence.  She completed her post-graduate training through the Adult Medicine Division of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She undertook basic physician training and advanced training in Neurology at St Vincent’s and Royal Melbourne Hospitals, before completing her Fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis at St Vincent’s.

Ann maintains an active interest in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and is an active participant in continuing professional development activities, including conferences and training. Ann prides herself on providing high quality neurological care with open communication, compassion and sensitivity to cultural and individual patient needs.  Outside of work, Ann enjoys a busy family life with her husband and three primary school age children.

Dr Andrew Duncan

Consultant Neurologist

Dr Andrew Duncan is a consultant neurologist (brain and nerve specialist) with special interests in epilepsy and general neurology. He is more than happy to see patients with any neurological condition or complaint.

 

He holds a public hospital appointment at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, where he conducts both epilepsy and general neurology clinics. He is also a neurology consultant at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, where he works at the Balance Disorder and Ataxia Service and provides Botox treatments for migraine. 

 

Andrew is actively involved in epilepsy research through the St Vincent’s Neurosciences Trials Unit, and is part of the surgical epilepsy team that investigates and manages complex epilepsy. He is a clinical tutor for medical students at The University of Melbourne, and helps train junior doctors at St Vincent’s Hospital.

 

After completing medical school at the Australian National University in Canberra, Andrew returned to Victoria to complete physician and neurology training at Monash Health and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He completed an Epilepsy Fellowship at St Vincent’s, as well as additional training during Fellowship in balance disorders and botulinum toxin administration for migraine. Outside of work, Andrew has interests in classical music and refugee health, and is an avid reader and runner.
