Dr Andrew Duncan

Consultant Neurologist

Dr Andrew Duncan is a consultant neurologist (brain and nerve specialist) with special interests in epilepsy and general neurology. He is more than happy to see patients with any neurological condition or complaint.

 

He holds a public hospital appointment at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, where he conducts both epilepsy and general neurology clinics. He is also a neurology consultant at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, where he works at the Balance Disorder and Ataxia Service and provides Botox treatments for migraine. 

 

Andrew is actively involved in epilepsy research through the St Vincent’s Neurosciences Trials Unit, and is part of the surgical epilepsy team that investigates and manages complex epilepsy. He is a clinical tutor for medical students at The University of Melbourne, and helps train junior doctors at St Vincent’s Hospital.

 

After completing medical school at the Australian National University in Canberra, Andrew returned to Victoria to complete physician and neurology training at Monash Health and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He completed an Epilepsy Fellowship at St Vincent’s, as well as additional training during Fellowship in balance disorders and botulinum toxin administration for migraine. Outside of work, Andrew has interests in classical music and refugee health, and is an avid reader and runner.
