Dr Ling Zhang

Consultant Neurologist

Movement Disorders and Headache Specialist

Dr. Lin Zhang is a neurologist with subspecialty training in movement disorders and headaches, holding appointments at Box Hill Hospital as a movement disorders neurologist and at Epworth Hospital (Richmond and Eastern) as a visiting neurologist.


Her area of clinical interest focusses on comprehensive management of Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, botulinum toxin injections for PBS approved indications including
cervical dystonia, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, and limb spasticity, gait abnormalities and complex headache disorders. She completed physician and neurology training in New South Wales, followed by a clinical research fellowship at The Alfred Hospital, specialising in movement disorders and headaches, and a recent short-term fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital’s Movement Disorders Unit in Canada.

 

As part of her fellowship, she undertook a research project for a Research Master’s degree in Biomedical Science at Monash University, exploring the association between migraine and cervical dystonia.

 

Dr. Zhang is also passionate about medical education, serving as a Teaching Associate and Clinical Lecturer at Monash University, where she contributes to the training and mentorship of medical students.
